Rush Studio: Mezcla Bars
Our second community project from Rush Studio
Rush Continues its mission
Here at Rush Graphics, we recently started a mission to reach out and help a community of designers and small business owners. To achieve this, we have been researching and acquiring products from small brands found locally, and are producing short promotional video shoots for them. This is our second project, and we decided to produce a video for Mezcla. Let's learn a little bit about them.
Mezcla
We aren't only choosing products we think look good. We are choosing brands with messages and stories that resonate with us, and Mezcla is anything but an exception to this process. Not only is Mezcla dedicated to sourcing all organic and vegan ingredients from all over the world, but they also make it a point to even share the profits with these communities and farms.
They also are heavily involved in providing for underserved schools and funding vital art programs that often go unfunded. As a company heavily associated with art and design, we can greatly appreciate the large strides by Mezcla to help provide children with the resources to learn and experience art.
Crafting the video
This video process is very different from that of our previous video. While that video was mostly filmed and edited very traditionally, this video required much less filming and much more editing. Because this video relied so much on green/blue screen and animation, the majority of the process took place within Davinci Resolve and Adobe After Effects as opposed to on-set.
Within Davinci Resolve, all the footage was color corrected before being imported into After Effects. The first step there was to key out the blue/green screen elements, so that the individual bars could be freely animated. Once they were properly animated, music was added and synced with the video and once the final logo animations were finished, the video was complete. Let's take a look.
